What you will learn
- calculate the required liquid volume in mL
- read the direction of the illustrative training syringe scale
- work out what the small scale marks represent
- read the training volume at the front edge of the stopper
- recognise when a training syringe is below or above the calculated target
- recognise when an exact calculated answer cannot be shown on the displayed training marks
- compare different labelled syringe capacities and graduation intervals instead of assuming every scale is the same
- recognise that oral, enteral, parenteral and insulin syringes are different device systems and are not automatically interchangeable
- keep training maths separate from real-world device, route and medicine-specific instructions
