Overview

George J. Schwartz, MD, is a paediatric nephrologist and Emeritus Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester Medical Center. His research has focused heavily on measuring and estimating glomerular filtration rate in children. Earlier in his career he co-authored the 1978 Haycock study that derived a body-surface-area equation validated in infants, children and adults.
