Identify it
Foundation
Recognise the lesson’s key idea, the values that belong in the calculation and the unit the answer needs.
Pure arithmetic questions use fictional medication labels. Real medicine names appear only for source-backed safety teaching. Keep units as units, use the authorised/current order and exact current units/mL preparation from the same calculation state, and use only the verified dosing weight when /kg is present. Do not invent a units-to-mg conversion, turn a mathematical mL result into device instructions, or treat correct arithmetic as permission to administer or program a device.
Identify it
Recognise the lesson’s key idea, the values that belong in the calculation and the unit the answer needs.
Calculate it
Use clearly stated orders and supplied information to complete straightforward calculations.
Interpret it
Handle frequency, totals, conversions, order changes and realistic but relevant detail.
Reason through it
Reason through dense ward stories, changed orders, competing numbers and multi-part calculation chains.
