Overview

Teresa A. Hillier, MD, MS, was an endocrinologist and distinguished investigator whose research included diabetes, gestational diabetes, metabolic disease and osteoporosis. She was lead author of the 1999 American Journal of Medicine experiment that re-evaluated the sodium correction factor during acute hyperglycaemia and reported 2.4 mmol/L per 100 mg/dL as the better overall estimate in that study.
